Pearl City Medical Associates

Dr. Matsumoto was born and raised in Wahiawa, and later graduated from Mid Pacific Institute. He received BS degrees in chemistry and biology from Whitworth College prior to obtaining his medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Manoa. One of his mentors in medical school, Dr. Bernard Yim, introduced him to Dr. Joseph Nishimoto of PCMA, and after completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii Integrated Medical Residency Program, he joined the group in Pearl City. In his free time, Dr. Matsumoto enjoys fishing and gardening.
